Buying rice in bulk without buying a problem

Bulk rice looks like a commodity until a lot arrives with a different grain length than the last one. Then your yields move, your plate cost moves, and your kitchen or your shelf tells on you. The job of a bulk rice supplier is to remove that variance.

We do it by holding inventory from the same mills, inspecting each lot on arrival, and shipping from a single Southern California facility rather than drop-shipping whatever a broker found that week. If you order the same SKU in March and in September, it cooks the same both times.

How bulk orders are structured

Bulk starts at 500 pounds and scales to full truckload. Most accounts land on one of these four patterns.

Trial order — 500–1,000 lb, parcel or LTL, so your team can cook and cost it before committing.

Single pallet — 40 × 50 lb sacks (2,000 lb), LTL with liftgate if you have no dock.

Multi-pallet LTL — 2–8 pallets, the usual range for grocers and mid-size distributors.

Full truckload — 20+ pallets, priced per hundredweight with a scheduled delivery appointment.

Standing order — fixed volume released weekly, biweekly or monthly at a locked price for the term.
